Cooper, Carroll

    Mr. and Mrs. Treves Harvey Cooper Jr. of Anguilla announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Elizabeth, to Nathan David Carroll, son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Elwin Carroll of Meridian.

    The wedding will be Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Anguilla United Methodist Church.

    Miss Cooper is the granddaughter of Mr. Treves H. Cooper Sr. and the late Doris Stevens Cooper of Anguilla and Mrs. Mary Margaret Elliot Bickerstaff and the late Robert Dale Bickerstaff of Jackson.

    The bride-elect is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education and a master of science degree in technology. She is a graduate of Sharkey Issaquena Academy

    While attending Mississippi State University, she was a member of Sigma Phi Lambda, the Future Educators Association and was active in the Baptist Student Union.

    Mr. Carroll is the grandson of Mrs. Ileen Carroll and the late Elwin Royce Carroll of Meridian and the Rev. and Mrs. David Walter McCubbin of Meridian.

    The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. He is a graduate of West Lauderdale High School

    While attending Mississippi State University, he was a student member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and was active in the Baptist Student Union.

    Mr. Carroll is employed by South Mississippi Electric Power Association.

    A reception will be held at the home of the bride.
