Planet Playground needs help

Planet Playground at the northeast complex needs immediate attention! It is an accident waiting to happen.

There are numerous dangerous hazards that exist. Rotten wood, broken equipment,exposed rusted sharp screws, washed out uneven areas, swings are completely gone, a fence is broken on the street side where a kid can get out to street, garbage and many other problems.

Plans exist to upgrade the playground but our city administration thinks putting new mulch on the ground will solve the problem. Please contact your council person, the mayor, community development — whoever it takes. Our kids and grandkids deserve a playground in North Meridian that is safe and hazard free. A lot of out-of-town guests come to the northeast park area through soccer and softball. The community needs to unite for Planet Playground.
