Thornton, Sodoma

Kristen Sodoma and Robert Thornton were married on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Scottsville Road Baptist Church in Bowling Green, Ky., with the Rev. Brandon Cox officiating.

Parents of the couple are Steve and Renea Sodoma and Janet Reed, all of Meridian, and Tim and Cathy Thornton and Steve and Diane Waters, all of Bowling Green.

The bride is the granddaughter of Sonny and Billie Jo Sodoma, Donnell and Carolyn Linton and Simmie and Frances Banes and Ethel Lee Reed, all of Meridian.

The bridegroom is the grandson of Judy Thornton of Bowling Green and the late Raleigh Thornton and the late James and Dorothy Fields.

The bride wore a strapless satin A-line gown with side draping, a beaded metallic embroidered bodice and skirt that flowed into a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of two dozen red roses.

Christi Pearson of Alvaton was maid of honor.

Nick Keown of Smiths Grove was best man.

Rod Thornton of Bowling Green and Clay Sodoma of Meridian were ushers.

Flower girls were Caitlin Schandel of Bowling Green and Ella Grace Cox of Bentonville, Ark.

A reception was held at the Warren Association of Baptists Building in Bowling Green immediately following the ceremony.

The couple resides in Bowling Green.
