Athletes and outdoor enthusiasts will soon have a new source for their equipment and gear as Academy Sports + Outdoors is set to open in November.

In a news release Tuesday, the company said its Meridian location, located in the Meridian Crossroads shopping center next to Hobby Lobby, will be its ninth to open in Mississippi.

“The new Academy Sports + Outdoors store will carry a wide assortment of sports and outdoors products for customers to choose from to kickstart their fun,” the company stated in the release. “Academy is focused on providing the best service, experience, and value to help customers pursue the activities that they love and make new memories on any budget.”

An exact date for the store’s opening has not yet been set, but shoppers can make sure they don’t miss out on grand opening events and deals by texting MERIDIAN to 22369 or online at academy.com/meridian.
