Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday:

• Foreign warrant/fugitive/holding – Cody A. Hemphill, born in 1999, 2337 Birdie Rd., Griffin, Ga. Hemphill is also charged with receiving stolen property.

• Trespassing – Angela Gibbs, born in 1974, 1421 14th St., Meridian.

• Shoplifting – Thomas E. Giles, born in 1986, 1011 Highland Ave., Philadelphia.

• Shoplifting – Camille B. Cole, born in 1959, 656 Andrew Chapel Rd., Brandon.

• Malicious mischief – Kendaysha N. Miles, born in 1997, 2028 33rd Ave., Meridian.

• DUI/refusal – Derrick J. Mosley, born in 1981, 107 71st Place Apt. 39, Merdian.

• Shoplifting – Shakiyah Armstrong, born in 1990, 2308 52nd Ave., Meridian.

• Possession of paraphernalia – Cassie A. McGilvray, born in 1981, 7702 B Lauderdale-Toomsuba Rd., Toomsuba.

Incident Reports

The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Wednesday to Thursday:

Commercial burglary

• 100 block of Russell Drive at 4:49 a.m.

Stolen vehicles

• 1200 block of Hwy. 39N at 10:30 a.m.

• Meridian Police responded to 3 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on the scene, there wasn’t any evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Wednesday and 8:43 a.m. Thursday.

• DUI/second offense – Johnny Redell Almond, 56, 6297 Oxford Road, Lauderdale. Almond is also charged with expired tag, no liability insurance, no driver’s license.

• Suspended driver’s license – Lester Leonard Cook, 56, 1913 17th Ave., Meridian.

• Sale of methamphetamine/two counts – Vonell Davis, 62, 710 B St., Meridian. Davis is also charged with failure to register as a sex offender, noncompliant.

• Contempt/child support – Brian Ray Griffith, 46, 246 Causeyville-Whynot Rd., Meridian.

• Probation violation/parole – Demetrice Dontray Johnson, 22, 673 Conehatta St., Marion.

• No driver’s license – Timothy Alan Mardis, 22, 2206 48th Ave., Meridian. Mardis is also charged with no license tag.

• Possession of methamphetamine – Haley Shea Nause, 27, 2594 Hwy. 496, Meridian.

• Probation violation/parole – Tobias Sychiavis Windham, 24, 4429 Highland Park Drive, Meridian.

• No license tag – Kimwin Shane Winstead, 45, 8364 King Road, Meridian. Winstead is also charged with improper equipment.

• Probation violation/parole – Krystal Dawn Wolverton, 33, 831 Harper Road, Meridian.
