• In observance of Good Friday, the Lauderdale County Court House will be closed on Friday.

• The Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library will hold a Book Sale April 9-14 during National Library Week. The hours are 10 a.m.-3 p.m. every day, upstairs in the library. FMI 601-693-6771.

• The “Welty” an exhibit featuring photographs by Eudora Welty, will be on display April 3-27 in the college’s Maie Ethel Burton Memorial Library at East Central Community College in Decatur. The Burton Library is open from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 7:30 am. to 3 p.m. Fridays, and 6 p.m to 8:30 p.m. Sundays. The exhibit is free and open to the public. There will be an Open House on Thursday, April 5, 3-6 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

• The Meridian High School Class of 1968 will be celebrating its 50th Class Reunion on Aug. 25, at the Holiday Inn, North Frontage Road in Meridian. Special room rates will apply for all ’68 graduates. Festivities will begin at 7 p.m. and end at 11 p.m. A cash bar, buffet and 60’s – 70’s music will be provided. The cost is $50 per person. • 9 a.m.-2 p.m. – Bake Sale at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in the lobby. All proceeds will go to Clarke County Standing Together Against Cancer.

• 9:30-11 a.m. – Business, Education, and Healthcare Expo at East Central Community College in the Brackeen-Wood Gym on the Decatur campus. Vendors interested in setting up a booth at the expo should contact Linda Vance at 601-635-6210 or lvance@eccc.edu. The deadline to register is March 27.

• 4:30 p.m. – K-6th Grade Easter Egg Weaving Craft at the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library.

• 7 a.m. – The East Central Mississippi Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will hold its Inaugural Breakfast of Champions Banquet at the Tommy Dulaney Center at Meridian Community College.
