The Meridian Comfort Inn will celebrate National Waffle Day by honoring the local Boys & Girls Club for all their work with local youth groups.
Lala Enterprises, the owner of Comfort Inn, is hosting “Comfort Says Thanks “ National Waffle Day event on Oct. 11 from noon – 2 p.m. at Comfort Inn on Bonita Lakes Drive.
Comfort Inn each year hosts a National Waffle Day event where it selects a group or organization that gives back or helps transform lives in our local community. Last year’s event honored Hometown Heroes, and this year the Boys & Girls Club gets that thanks for all they do to enrich the lives of young people.
“This year we wanted to honor the Boys and Girls Club and local community leaders who support this worthy organization by offering a carnival themed lunch with hot dogs, slider burgers and a dessert waffle station,” said Toya Dockery, Operations Director for Lala Enterprises and General Manager at Comfort Inn.
The event will feature a “make your own creation” waffle bar with fresh fruit, nuts, chocolate chips, assorted syrups, various toppings and of course whipped cream. Other treats include popcorn and cotton candy for the kids.
Anyone wishing to donate items for door prizes should call the Comfort Inn at 601-693-1200.
