Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 8:43 a.m. Wednesday:

• Shoplifting- Stephanie D. Al-Elwl, born in 1968, 4087 Lynnville Rd

•Disorderly conduct -Deondra D. Brandon, born in 1990, 10415 Rabbit Rd. Brandon is also charged with resisting arrest (2 counts).

•Telephone harassment-Ben Langston, born in 1966, 2209 29th Avenue.

•Malicious mischief- Terrance Phifer, born in 1978, 3804 35th Avenue.

•Simple assault-domestic-Edward T. Odom, born in 1976, 1421 47th Avenue.

•Simple assault- Phillip B Cooper, born in 1982, 1154 1st Street. Cooper is also charged with disturbance of a business.

•DUI-Devontae Gowdy, born in 1995, 9715 Gowdy Rd.

•Disorderly conduct (2 counts)-Ron Keith Lewis, born in 1973, 4567 Butts Rd. Lewis is also charged with public profanity.

•Armed robbery-Lemar Walker, born in 1995, 2051 32nd Street.

Incident Reports

The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Tuesday through Wednesday:

Commercial Burglary

•4200 block of Hickory Hills Circle.

Residential Burglary

•1200 block of 28th Street

•1400 block of 35th Avenue.

•500 block of Front Street Extension.

Shootings

Shooting into a dwelling in the 2800 block of St Luke Street. There were not any injuries reported and the case is under investigation.

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 8:43 a.m. Wednesday:

•Burglary-Deondra D. Brandon, 25, 10415 Rabbit Rd. Brandon is also charged with resisting arrest, driving with a suspended license, no drivers license, improper equipment, false information, disorderly conduct, no liability insurance, and failure to yield to blue lights.

•Court order- mandatory days- Cedric Levon Garrett, 39, 7703 Lauderdale Toomsuba Road, Toomsuba.

•Domestic violence – simple assault- Jeffrey Demond Jennings, 32, 107 4031 York Rd, Lauderdale MS 115, Meridian. Jennings is also charged with probation violation.

•Failure to appear (justice court)- two counts- Crysta Ladd, age not available, 14370 Hwy. 18 South, Union.

•Probation violation- Jawon Lavon Ramsey, 25, 2525 Grandview Ave., Meridian.

•No driver’s license-Timothy Jason White, 36, 2219 Redwood Dr., Monroe, La. White is also charged with expired license tag.
