    LOUISVILLE – Services for Minnie Mae Reed will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Ellison Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Nowell-Massey Funeral Home, 724 North Columbus Avenue, Louisville, in charge of arrangements.  
    Minnie Mae Reed, 64, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at her residence in Meridian. Ms. Reed was born on Feb. 4, 1950, to John Earl and Avis Eaves Hurt. She was a member of Ellison Ridge Baptist Church, and she worked in the cafeteria at Clarkdale County Schools for 10 years, where she made many friends.

    Ms. Reed is survived by her daughter, Amy Reed (J. D. Broadway); two sons, Tim Reed and wife, Tammy; and Kenny Reed and wife, Angela; all of Meridian, and seven grandchildren: Morgan and Jeremiah Reed; Adam, Austin, and Colby Reed; Dylan and Kayla Reed.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Reed; and her parents.

    Serving as pallbearers will be J. D. Broadway, Dan Broadway, Johnny Dubois, Brandon Morgan, Lonnie Morgan, and Greg Reed.

    Visitation will be today, Friday, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to Meridian Oncology, 1704 23rd Avenue, Meridian, MS 39301 or to Blair Batson Children’s Hospital, UMMC Office of Development, 2500 N. State Street, Jackson, MS 39216.
