Molly Elisabeth Tilghman of Huntsville, Ala., and Matthew Thomas Owen of Meridian were married Saturday, April 16, 2011, at First United Methodist Church in Huntsville with Rev. Coy Hallmark officiating.

    Parents of the couple are Mrs. Jennifer Lambert Tilghman of Huntsville, Ala., and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jackson Owen III of Meridian.

    Grandparents of the bride are Dr. and Mrs. Charles William Lambert of Athens, Ala.

    Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jackson Owen Jr. of Huntsville, Ala., and Mrs. William Walter Gilbert and the late Mr. Gilbert of Talladega, Ala.

    Music for the ceremony was provided by Dr. David Miller.

    The bride was given in marriage by her grandfather, Dr. Charles William Lambert.

    Maid of honor was Emily Brooke Tilghman of Huntsville, Ala., sister of the bride.

    Other attendants were Ashley Owen Hill of Meridian, sister of the groom; Emily Katherine Barganier, Elizabeth Patton Howard, Katherine Reynolds Lehman, Justine Paree Plaia, Taylor Anna Pumphrey, Abby Saliba Rogers and Caitlin Campbell Thomas.

    Kristen Diane and Elisabeth Ann Lambert, cousins of the bride, were flower girls.

    Thomas Jackson Owen III, father of the groom, was best man.

    Groomsmen were Lucas Conner Ainsworth, Gustavus Alston Rush, Christopher Joseph Trawick, all of Meridian, Alexander Bernard Moser, Brian Chandler Naugle, Jonathan Ben Ragsdale, Charles Gavin Shepard, and Andrew Aris Gearhart.

    Program attendant was Callie Marie Owen, cousin of the groom.

    The rehearsal dinner was held at the Huntsville Country Club.

    A reception was held at the Huntsville Museum of Art following the ceremony.

    After a honeymoon to the Riviera Maya in Mexico, the couple resides in Birmingham, Ala.
