Services for Raymond Stallings will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Wright’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold McInnis & Rev. Dennis Coats officiating. Burial will be in McGowan’s Chapel Cemetery. Wright’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Stallings, 85 died Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Regency Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi.
He is survived by his Wife, Mable F. Stallings; daughters, Gwen Pippen & husband Randy; Debbie Pippen & husband Ricky; 6 grandchildren; Lorie Pippen, Renee Skinner & husband Jeremy, Jason Pippen, Jamie Pippen & wife Vicki, Blake Pippen & wife Bridgett, Ashtyn Pippen; 6 great grandchildren; Randy Harper, Lee Shoemaker & wife Carrie, Tyler Pippen, Joshua Pippen, Ava Skinner, Hayden Pippen; great-great grandchild Colton Shoemaker.
Mr. Stallings was a veteran of the US Navy where he served in WWII on a P T Boat in the Pacific Theater where he received A Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Area 3 Stars, Philippine Liberation Medal 2 stars. He was also a member of Knights Valley Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry & Avie Stallings, brothers Grady Stallings, Curtis Stallings, John Albert Stallings, Lavelle Stallings, Roland Stallings, James Vernon Stallings, Two Sisters Lydia Nicholson and Lois Cook.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 18, 2011 from 5:30-9:00 p.m. at Wright’s Funeral Home in Quitman, MS. Friends may sign online guest register at www.wrightsfuneral.com.
