Walker, Boles

    Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Wells of Madison and Mr. and Mrs. Don Walker of Brandon announce the engagement of their daughter, Julie Lucinda, to Michael Daniel Boles, son of Pastor and Mrs. Mike Boles of Meridian.

    The wedding will be held Saturday, May 28, 2011, at 2 p.m., at The Evangel Temple in Meridian.

    Miss Walker is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Walker of Hickory and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hayward Snowden of Decatur.

    The bride-elect received her master of science degree in public relations from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2009. She is a 2007 cum laude graduate of Mississippi State University, where she received a bachelor of arts degree in communications. She is a 2004 special honors graduate of Madison Central High School.

    While attending MSU, she was a member of Phi Mu sorority, served as public relations chairperson for MSU Greek Life, and was a member of Mortar Board senior honor society, the Public Relations Student Society of America and Order of Omega.

    Miss Walker is currently employed with East Mississippi Electric Power Association (EMEPA) as a communications specialist in the marketing and communication department.

    Mr. Boles is the grandson of Pastor and Mrs. Melvin Boles and Mr. and Mrs. Lenard Pogue, all of Meridian.

    The bridegroom-elect is a 2006 graduate of Mississippi State University, where he received a bachelor of business administration degree. He is a 2001 graduate of Clarkdale High School.

    While attending MSU, he was a member of the men’s golf team.

    Mr. Boles is currently employed with Meridian Community College as instrumental specialist in the music department.

    A reception will be held at the church immediately following the ceremony.
