Cypress Moon Studios plans open casting call

    Cypress Moon Productions is holding an open casting call for extras to appear in the new feature film “The Story of Bonnie and Clyde.” The film, which is in pre-production, will be shot partly in Philadelphia, and surrounding cities, as well as other cities in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Missouri.

    Men, women, and children 10 years of age and up are invited to stop by The Depot, located at 256 West Beacon St., in Philadelphia, on Saturday, April 16, between the hours of noon-4 p.m. for the chance to be chosen for an extra role in the film. All interested parties must bring their photo, contact information and/or resume.

    People who are not available to attend may mail their information to Cypress Moon Studios at 1000 Alabama Ave., Sheffield, AL 35660.  

    A session for speaking roles will take place in the near future.

    “We look forward for production to finally begin on “The Story of Bonnie and Clyde,” and we are excited to hold another casting call in Philadelphia. We have recently held casting calls in Joplin, Missouri and Alexandria, Louisiana, which are also areas which we will be shooting. We have been working for a long time to bring this production to a reality, and it looks like things are finally coming together,” said Tonya S. Holly, who wrote the original screenplay that she will direct and produce.   

    “The Story of Bonnie and Clyde” is a new adaptation of the classic love story, which tells the thrilling story of the notorious fugitives. Taking place during the 1930’s Depression, the film follows the exploits of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, uncovering many times in their lives that have never before been seen on the big screen. The film is set to star Hilary Duff as Bonnie Parker and Kevin Zegers as Clyde Barrow.
