Irabell C. Moultrie

Irabell Chisholm Moultrie was born January 4, 1942 in Savannah, Ga., to the blessed union of the late Oliver and Sarah DeCosta Chisholm. She accepted Christ at an early age and faithfully served in the church throughout her life. Irabell was a faithful member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess, member of The Missionary Society and the Capital Campaign Committee, and Director for the Bereavement Ministry until her death.
Irabell was educated in Savannah, where she met and married the love of her life, James G. Moultrie, and was blessed with three children: Jeremiah, Beverly and Todd.
Irabell retired from the Navy Exchange Services Command after 24 years of dedicated service. Irabell was also a faithful member of the Ladies Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Association-South Central Region since 2005, where she served as Chaplain of the local Fleet Reserve Association.
Irabell departed this life on Saturday Nov. 6, 2010. She leaves to cherish her memory: a devoted husband and three children; two daughters-in-law: Dora Moultrie (Jeremiah) of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Bertha Moultrie (Todd) of El Paso, Texas; son-in-law: Robert Davis (Beverly) of Chattanooga, Tenn.; four grandchildren: Te’ofilo Moultrie, Alicia McPherson, Daniel Moultrie and Eliana Moultrie; three great-grandchildren: Akeria Moultrie, Paris Moultrie and Mickell Moultrie; a loving aunt: Ruth Chisholm; sister: Rev. Evelyn Mayrant and brother-in-law, David of Bronx, N.Y.; five brothers and sister-in-laws: Oliver and Barbara Chisholm of Savannah, Ga., Edward Chisholm of Savannah, Ga., James and Corine Chisholm of Savannah, Ga., Bernard and Earline Chisholm of Savannah, Ga., and Benjamin and Connie Chisholm of Savannah, Ga.; and, a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Family visitation for Irabell Chisholm Moultrie will be held Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Irabell Chisholm Moultrie will be held Friday, at 11:30 a.m., at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Zachary Finley officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
