MHS Varsity Co-ed Squad attends UCA Cheerleader Camp

    The Meridian High School Varsity Co-ed Cheerleader Squad attended the Universal Cheerleaders Association Cheerleader Camp at Mississippi State University this summer.

    The Varsity Squad was awarded the title of Camp Champions, and placed first in the following: Home Pom; Home Cheer; and Extreme Routine.

    The squad also was awarded the Leadership Award, which is voted on by other campers, and selected by UCA staff to receive the Tradition Award.

    Trey Brown, Alexa Chisolm, Maddie Covert, Mary Paige Griffin, Demarcus Johnson, Kanieshawa Kelly, Olivia Taylor and Kaylee Watkins were selected for the All-American Squad.

    Trey Brown, Tyler Clayton, Alexa Chisolm, Maddie Covert, Mary Paige Griffin, Matthew Ivey, Demarcus Johnson, Kanieshawa Kelly, Olivia Taylor and Kaylee Watkins were asked to try out for the UCA summer staff.
