Duffee VFD cooks for the holiday

Let the Duffee Volunteer Fire Department prepare your turkey or ham for the holidays.

Volunteer firefighters will be cooking fried turkeys, smoked turkeys, Boston butts and hams — smoked slowly over hardwood coals. The fire department is at the junction of Highway 494 and Chunky-Duffee Road, just inside Newton County.

Orders can be picked up Dec. 23 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. To place an order, call (601) 986-2071.
