Education: Master of Science in leadership (Belhaven University), US Army Command & General Staff College (masters level), Administration of Justice (University of Southern Mississippi), Associates of Art (criminal justice), barber science (Brock’s College), Mississippi Law Enforcement Officer’s Training Academy (Pearl, MS), Mississippi Law Enforcement Command College and graduate of the Leadership Kemper Institute.
Public offices held: 24 years of law experience, 13 years as chief of police in DeKalb (10 years) and Scooba (3 years). 20 years of experience as chief inspector with Mississippi State Board of Barber Examiners, Six combat tours of duty overseas in War on Terrorism in the Middle East, South East Asia and Afghanistan, recently selected promotion to the rank of lieutenant colonel assigned to MS Army National Guard’s 66th Troop Command as a staff officer for all hazards response team. Elected two terms as president of the Kemper County Cattlemen Association and elected and currently serving as the Area 4 vice president for Mississippi State Cattlemen’s Association.
Why are you running: To provide law enforcement and professional services to the citizens of Kemper County by addressing the issues that threaten our way of life. To preserve life, property and maintain law & order throughout the county while protecting the constitutional guarantees of Kemper’s greatest asset, it’s people.

Why are you a good candidate: I am the candidate of choice because of experience, education, ability to handle high stress situation, fair & impartial and lead by God. Citizens deserve a candidate who will be fair regardless of origin, class, gender, race or any other religious affiliation.
