Alan C. Priester

Graveside services for Alan Cluis Priester will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Magnolia Cemetery, with the Rev. Warren Hedgepeth officiating. O.C. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Priester passed Friday, May 31, 2013, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson. Alan had been ill for a short time and was blessed to have been a cancer survivor for more than 27 years.
Alan was well established as a third generation contractor and was also associated with Mississippi’s first licensed general contractor, L.B. Priester & Son of Meridian. Mr. Priester was his
grandfather.
He joined Priester Construction Co. of Jackson in 1977 until 2003, when Priester-Reid Construction was formed with his partner Charles D. Reid.
Alan was proceeded in death by his parents, James Cluis Priester and Mary Rainer Priester.
He is survived by his brother, William Priester of Mobile, Ala., and sister, Rosemary Priester Bomar of Brentwood, Tenn.; aunt, Ruth D. Priester of Jackson; nephew, James Kirby Priester of
Mobile; nieces, Suzanne Woods and Jennifer Logan; great-nieces, Lauren Blalock and Jessica Hibler; and nephews, Christopher Mashburn and Zachary Elder.
Visitation will be on the day of services, from 1 p.m.-1;45 p.m., at the funeral home.
