The Threefoot Brewery released its new seasonal beer, the Carnival, on Wednesday.

Brewmaster Johnathan Crabtree said the Carnival was meant to be a holiday release beer, but the fermentation process lasted longer than expected. He said because of the flavor of the beer, it will still make a great drink for the Mardi Gras season.

The beer is cold stepped with cinnamon, orange peel and all spice. The primary taste of the beer is cinnamon, with the all spice adding a hint of pseudo pumpkin-like flavor. The orange peel works to balance the two flavors together.

“When you drink it, the body of it is gonna have a pillowy mouth feel, so it’s going to kind of feel cloudy. Not texture wise, but it’s going to feel like you’re drinking a cloud,” said Crabtree.
