Meridian Little Theatre is ramping up for its next production — the beloved musical “Mamma Mia!”
Auditions are set for Monday and Tuesday March 4 and 5 at 6:30 p.m. both evenings at the Highway 39 North playhouse. The show is set to run from May 9-14.
More than 60 million people worldwide have fallen in love with the characters, the story and the music that make it the ultimate feel-good show, MLT Director Ellie Massey said.
The hits of the popular Swedish pop group ABBA tell the hilarious story of a young woman’s search for her birth father. This sunny and funny tale unfolds on a Greek island paradise. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter’s quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother’s past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago.
“The story-telling magic of ABBA’s timeless songs propels this enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship, creating an unforgettable show,” Massey said. “This show has is all: a large cast, non-stop laughs and explosive dance numbers. A mother. A daughter. Three possible dads. And a trip down the aisle you’ll never forget!”
