Various law enforcement agencies assisted the Mississippi Highway Patrol in the arrest of two suspects driving a stolen 18-wheeler from Arkansas. 

Sgt. Andy West, with the Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H, said the owner called and reported the 18-wheeler stolen. 

West said the owner’s GPS in the vehicle located the 18-wheeler in Mississippi and troopers spotted the vehicle on Highway 19 North, near Allen Swamp Road.

Police chased the 18-wheeler south on Highway 19 to Highway 11, then west onto I-20 and south on I-59, according to West.

West said law enforcement deployed spike strips to delay the vehicle, eventually stopping it around 11 a.m. at the 134 mile marker in Clarke County. 

Law enforcement then took a man and a woman into custody, West said.
