Lauderdale County man charged in wife’s shooting death

A Lauderdale County man accused of killing his wife late Friday night has been arrested.
Deputies with the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department arrested Truitt Pace at his home on the 700 block of Brown Hooke Road just north of Bailey and charged him with second degree murder, according to Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun.
Calhoun said the 911 call about a domestic disturbance came in around 10:20 p.m., and when deputies arrived at the home, they found Marsha Danielle Pace unresponsive after an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Metro Ambulance responded and transported her to a hospital, where she died, Calhoun said.
A 10-year-old child was home at the time of shooting but suffered no injuries, Calhoun said. He said the case, which remains under investigation, would be presented before grand jury and
Bond for Truitt Pace was set at $100,000.
