Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Monday:

• Shoplifting – Shecoby Lanier, born in 1990, 4116 19th St., Meridian.

• Possession of marijuana – Taras Hill, born in 1985, 4803 Hickory Hills Circle, Meridian. Hills is also charged with contempt, expired tag.

• Telephone harassment – Shawanda Hopson, born in 1989, 2701 Chandler St., Meridian. Hopson is also charged with petit larceny.

• Malicious mischief – Gary Moffite, born in 1978, 2801 St. Andrew St., Meridian.

• Disorderly conduct – Emil Castignanie, born in 1984. Castignanie is also charged with public intoxication.

• Shoplifting – Kearra Oliver, born in 1996, 3804 14th St., Meridian.

• Petit larceny – Ron Lewis, born in 1973, 202 Davis St., Meridian.

• DUI – John Rose, born in 1980, 8325 Poplar Springs Drive, Meridian. Rose is also charged with no insurance, careless driving.

• Shooting in the city – Jack Morgan, born in 1972, 2277 Hillcrest Dr., Meridian.

• Shoplifting – Reno Jones, born in 1999, 5608 Westgate Hills Dr., Meridian.

• Public drunk – Erik Ragsdale, born in 1983, 1120 28th Ave., Meridian. Ragsdale is also charged with disorderly conduct.

• Disorderly conduct – Joshua Davis, born in 1997, 2314 43rd Ave., Meridian.

Incident Reports

The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Friday to Monday:

Robbery

• 4600 block of 8th St. at 10:40 p.m.

Stolen vehicles

• 1300 block of Bonita Lakes Circle at 6:23 p.m.

Auto burglary

• 200 block of South Frontage Road, at 1:07 p.m.

• 2300 block of 26th Ave. at 1:14 p.m.

• 1700 block of 14th St. at 1:35 p.m.

Residential burglary

• 200 block of 23rd St. at 6:52 p.m.

• 8200 block of Hwy. 39N at 2:17 p.m.

Shootings

• 2300 block of 16th St. at 2:17 p.m.

• Meridian Police responded to 10 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was not any evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday.

• Public drunk – Roberet J. Bohley, 39, 8325 Poplar Springs Drive, Meridian. Bohley is also charged with disorderly conduct/failure to obey law enforcement officer.

• Driving under the influence/first offense – Camryn Brewer, 17, 12643 Hwy. 494, Northport, Ala.

• Probation violation/parole – Marvel Buckley, 43, 111 Pecan St., Newton.

• Grand larceny – John Mark Carney, 30, 5880 Oxford Road, Lauderdale.

• Suspended driver’s license – Caleb Clayton Carpenter, 23, 8188 Pine Springs Rd., Meridian.

• Robbery/threat to injure person at a later date – Joseph Tyler Conner, 26, 6591 Sunny Lane, Toomsuba. Conner is also charged with motor vehicle theft, fleeing and eluding in a motor vehicle.

• Grand larceny – Clint Sullivan Cooper, 24, Camperland Hwy. 145N, Baton Rouge, La.

• Possession of spice – Jessica Marlene Harper, 34, 4377 South Ralnet Dr., Meridian.

• Speeding – Lester Catell Lyles, 36, 908 8th Ave., Northport, Ala. Lyles is also charged with suspended driver’s license, no liability insurance.

• Home repair fraud – Jerry LaBlanche Mitchell, 61, 5231 Davidson Road, Meridian.

• Contempt child support/two counts – Jack H. Morgan, 45, 5711 5th St., Meridian.

• Possession of marijuana in the vehicle – Dathan Lee Morris, 19, 2706 State Blvd., Meridian.

• Suspended driver’s license – Ronald B. Noah, 27, 669 John C. Stennis Drive, Meridian.

• Suspended driver’s license – Derrin Anthony Parker, 22, 3013 Willow Lake Drive, Meridian.

• No liability insurance – Gary Bernard Payton, 55, 1612 Willow Lake Road, Toomsuba. Payton is also charged with expired tag, failure to pay.

• Suspended driver’s license – Felicia Purvis, 34, 310 Smith County Road, Morton.
