Dr. and Mrs. Robert Loper of Tylertown announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Catherine, to John Kernan DeLee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony DeLee of Collinsville.

    Miss Loper is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Thomasson of Summit and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Loper of Union.

    The bride-elect is attending Mississippi State University and will graduate in May with a doctor of veterinary medicine degree. She is a graduate of Parklane Academy in McComb.

    Mr. DeLee is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. James DeLee of Alexandria, La., and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Schexnayder of New Roads, La.

    The bridegroom-elect is a 2012 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He is a graduate of Parklane Academy in McComb.

    Mr. DeLee is currently an officer in the United State Army, stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky.

    A June wedding is planned.
