Shumate, and aunt, Joye Fordham. The Shumate family has been blessed with the mentorship of outstanding and dedicated Troop 70 Scout Leaders, Bill Arnold, Glenn Watson, Keith Clifford, and Rodney Forbis. Rodney Forbis presided over the ceremony that honored Sean for his leadership skills, dedication to helping others, and perseverance in achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. Sean and Carol Ragan collaborated with East Mississippi State Hospital, Meridian Community College, Saint Patrick School, and NorthPark Church to collect 234 winter coats for L.O.V.E.’s Kitchen, Care Lodge, and Wesley House.  Sean is a senior at West Lauderdale High School and a dual credit student at Meridian Community College. Sean will continue his scouting adventures as an Assistant Scout Master. He is pursuing a career in engineering.
