The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Thursday:

• Disturbance of business – Kennarion Johnson, born in 1988, 908 21st St.

• Simple assault-domestic – Davontae Brewster, born in 1995, 4803 Hickory Hill Circle.

• Disorderly conduct – DeCarlos Boyd, born in 1976, 4617 13th St. Boyd is also charged with resisting arrest, false information.

• Carrying concealed weapon – Gregory Crawford, born in 1995, 428 Old Marion Rd.

• Willful trespassing – Kenneth Thomas, born in 1995, 4320 36th Ave.

• Possession of paraphernalia – Kenton Johnson, born in 1997, 3817 29th St.

• Shoplifting – Eric Bounds, born in 1971, 8827 Whippoorwill Rd.

• Driving under the influence – Tony Jones, born in 1984, 200 23rd St. Jones is also charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, no driver’s license, no insurance.

• Shoplifting – Amber Stroud, born in 1996, 8491 Arkadelphia Rd. Stroud is also charged with trespassing.

• Shoplifting – Devin Garrison, born in 1996, 9417 Hwy. 495.

• Trespassing – Andrew Inge, born in 1949, 710 B. St.

• Petit larceny – Daon Barksale, born in 1983, 2320 15th Ave. Barksdale is also charged with domestic violence.

• DUI – Larry Hoggins, born in 1983, 3807 Valley St.

• Simple assault – Shundrella Harris, born in 1986, 2015 Mosby Rd. Harris is also charged with simple assault threat, telephone harassment.

• Child neglect – Jimmy Williams, born in 1991, 2457n 40th Ave. Williams is also charged with simple assault on a minor, simple assault.

• Shoplifting – Decordrick Williams, born in 1990, 3511 1/2 35th Ave.

• Disturbance of business – Latoria Hailes, born in 1990, 2006 MLK Dr. Hailes is also charged with contempt.

Commercial burglary

• 70 block of Hwy. 19 North at 7:32 a.m.

Auto burglary

• 2200 block of 28th Ave. at 8:06 a.m.

• 1700 block of 14th St. at 8:04 a.m.

Residential burglary

• 3100 block of 36th St. at 2:24 p.m.

• Meridian Police responded to 4 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was not any evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Wednesday and 8:43 a.m. Thursday.

• Burglary/commercial – Anthony Brooks, 50, 1325 30th Ave. 23, Meridian.

• Contempt of court – Latoria S. Hailes, 27, 2006 Martin Luther King Dr. B1, Meridian.

• Murder – Michael D. Portis, 42, 5806 Mosby Rd., Meridian.

• Simple assault – Olivia Scarbrough, 19, 8440 Cottonwood Dr., Meridian.

• Probation violation/parole – Travell Rumon Taylor, 44, 7300 Old Hwy. 80, Meridian.

• Failure to pay/two counts – Cordarro Dranane Tingle, 30, 602 56th Ave., Meridian.
