Cunningham joins Rush Health Systems

Rush Health Systems is pleased to announce that Lewis Cunningham, D.O., a board certified urologist, has joined Stanley Wade, M.D., Cynthia Schuetz- Smith, FNP and the staff of Rush Medical Group and will begin seeing patients on the third floor of the Rush Professional Office Building located at 1800 12th Street in Meridian.

Dr. Cunningham received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Health Sciences-College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed an internship at Detroit Osteopathic Medical Center in Highland Park, Michigan. He completed General Surgery residency programs at Michigan Osteopathic Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan and Metropolitan Central Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In addition, he completed his Urology residency at the Osteopathic Medical Center through Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Cunningham is a Board Certified Urologist by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. He has special training and interest in general adult and pediatric urology, the use of lasers in urology, endourology, hand-assisted laparoscopic nephrectomy and urologic oncology. With more than 25 years of experience in adult and pediatric urology, Dr. Cunningham treats patients for a variety of conditions including kidney stones/infections, testicular, bladder, kidney and prostate cancer, laser ablation of enlarged prostate, vasectomies, bladder control and erectile dysfunction.
