- Ariel Eaves, (left), of Fayetteville, Ga., and Jodee Crane, (right), of Meridian, recently served as pages for the Mississippi Senate. Pages generally run errands for officials and Senate staff. Ariel is the daughter of Freddie and Susan Carmichael and attends Bennett’s Mill Middle School. Jodee is the daughter of Charles and Kaycee Crane and attends Clarkdale High School. Also pictured is fellow page Cole Jordan (center). The three pages are pictured with Lt. Governor Tate Reeves and Senator Videt Carmichael, who is Ariel’s grandfather.
Interested in horses? Lauderdale County 4-H is looking for you
Lauderdale County 4-H is looking for youth interested in horses. There are many contests available for kids who love horses and you do not have to own a horse: horse art and photography, horse judging, hippology and the Horse Bowl contest. Children ages 8-18 are eligible to participate in 4-H.
Horse ownership deadline is May 1 to be eligible to show. Contact the Lauderdale County Extension office at 601-482-9764.
The Poultry Chain competition is starting up as well as the Poultry Club. Kids need to be registered before May 1. Please contact the office for more information or visit the 4-H website at http://extension.msstate.edu
Exchange Club honors law enforcement
Lauderdale County Deputy Sheriff Everett Trey Fox, Master Sgt. Jerome Lee of the Mississippi Highway Patrol and Meridian Police Officer William Alex Lee were honored by the Meridian Exchange Club at its annual law enforcement appreciation luncheon recently.

Daneel Konnar of Meridian, recently served as a page for the Mississippi Senate. Daneel is the son of Rama and Heather Konnar and attends Northeast Lauderdale High School.
Jodee Crane of Meridian recently served as a page for the Mississippi Senate. Jodee is the daughter of Charles and Kaycee Crane and attends Clarkdale High School. Senator Videt Carmichael sponsored her visit.

Her grandfather, Senator Videt Carmichael, sponsored her visit. When asked about the week, Ariel said, “This was such an experience! Paging is so fun and educating! I thank my grandfather for giving me this opportunity!”
Family participates in Easter Egg Hunt at White House
