Second arrest made in fatal shooting

Meridian Police Department on Monday announced a second arrest has been made in connection to a fatal shooting last week on State Boulevard.

Henbria Kelly has been charged with accessory after the fact and has bond set at $50,000.

Police responded to a call about a man being shot around 10:30 a.m. Thursday to the 2900 block of State Boulevard. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Law enforcement on Monday announced the victim has been identified as DeAndre Duff.

Police previously arrested 24-year-old Adrian Wallace and charged him with murder in connection with the shooting. His bond has been set at $1 million.

“This is an example of a case where diligent police work has led to an additional arrest,” said Assistant Police Chief Dareall Thompson. “We want take this opportunity and remind everyone that there are other cases we are actively pursuing.
