Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday:
• Felon in possession of a firearm – Octavious Lavon McNeil, 27, 915 28th Ave., Meridian.
• Malicious mischief – Brian T. Dixon, born in 1982, 1001 34th Ave., Meridian.
• Public drunk – Michael D. Griggs, born in 1988, 2611 10th St., Meridian. Griggs is also charged with trespassing.
• Shoplifting – Alicia Triplett, born in 1989, 1516 33rd Ave., Meridian.
• Petit larceny – Amanda Day, born in 1989, homeless. Day is also charged with simple assault/threat.
• Petit larceny – Curtis Scott, born in 1976, 2608 17th St., Meridian.
• Telephone harassment – Tierra Yarbrough, born in 1989, 2428 Old Marion Road K-78, Meridian.
• Simple assault – Michael D. Lewis, born in 1992, 2128 35th Ave., Meridian.
• Giving false information – Joniqua Hudson, born in 1984, 1701 25th Ave., Meridian. Hudson is also charged with escaping custody.
• Domestic violence – Gregory Crawford, born in 1995, 2428 Old Marion Road 0-105, Marion.
• Driving under the influence/other – Brittany S. Massey, born in 1991, 5193 Shiloh/Vimville Road, Meridian.

• Meridian Police responded to 3 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on scene, only one showed evidence to support the calls.
Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 8:43 a.m. Wednesday.
• Mississippi Compulsory School Attendance Law/two counts – Joniqua Relinda Hudson, 34, 3005 7th St., Meridian.
• Probation violation/parole – Brittany Savannah Massey, 27, 5193 Shiloh/Vimville Road, Meridian.
• Contempt of court – Johnny R. Payne, 49, 5196 A Zero Road, Meridian.
