Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday:
• Fleeing or eluding a law enforcement officer – Marco Seals, born in 1989, 107 71st Place, Meridian.
• Embezzlement – Robert B. Spangler, born in 1974, 5501 Fisher Road, Meridian.
• Public drunk – Quoc Bao Le, born in 1972, 204 N. Archusa Ave., Quitman. Le is also charged with malicious mischief.
• Shoplifting – Jerry W. Griffin, born in 1957, 613 42nd Ave., Meridian. Griffin is also charged with trespassing, disorderly conduct, simple assault.
• Domestic violence – Jesse D. Rose Jr., born in 1990, 1723 16th Ave., Meridian. Rose is also charged with public profanity, disorderly conduct.
• Possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle – Darrell Bryant, born in 1997, 4717 37th St., Meridian. Bryant is also charged with possession of paraphernalia.
• Driving under the influence/first offense – Dawn Anderson, born in 1976, 3843 35th St., Meridian.
• Public drunk – Willie Cherry, born in 1967, homeless. Cherry is also charged with disorderly conduct.
Incident Reports
The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Tuesday to Wednesday:
Auto burglary
• 3100 block of 15th St. at 1:19 a.m.
• Meridian Police responded to 2 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was not any evidence found to support the calls.
Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 8:43 a.m. Wednesday.
• Possession of cocaine – Ronald Brown, 122 58th Ave., Meridian. Brown is also charged with fleeing and eluding.
• Possession of methamphetamine – Joseph Lamar Branning Jr., 11562 Savoy Road, Meridian.
• Driving while license suspended – Lashawn Darnell Kimble, 2305 D. St., Meridian.
• Contempt of court/two counts – Haley S. Nause, 4308 Hooper St., Meridian.
• Suspended driver’s license – Brady Daniel Hodge, 5269 Hwy. 496, Toomsuba.
• No driver’s license – Marayah Bryant, 4550 35th Ave., Meridian.
Fire Runs
The Meridian Fire Departments reported the following calls from Tuesday through Wednesday:
• Lock in, 52nd St.
• False alarm, 2nd St. South.
• Dispatched and canceled en route, Grand Cypress Drive.
The Lauderdale County Volunteer Fire Departments reported the following calls from Tuesday through Wednesday:
• Structure fire assist, Russell/Topton Road (Toomsuba).
• Motor vehicle accident, Marion/Russell Road (Toomsuba).

Metro Ambulance reported 39 emergency runs Wednesday at 2 p.m.
