Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday:

• Malicious mischief – Douglas McKey, born in 1950, 2007 15th Ave., Meridian.

• Begging – Calvin Young, born in 1954, 1914 11th St. Apt. 212, Meridian.

• Embezzlement – Tanarus T. Robinson, born in 1989, 1103 61st Ct., Meridian.

• Public drunk – Jeremy G. McCaleb, born in 1981, 2436 36th Pl., Meridian. McCaleb is also charged with giving false information/two counts, trespassing.

• Public drunk – Randall G. Horner, born in 1967, 209 31st St., Meridian.

• Public drunk – John W. Price, born in 1979, 3009 Willow Drive, Meridian. Price is also charged with giving false information.

• Driving under the influence – Wilfred Nofire, born in 1979, 757 Water View Drive, Meridian.

• Probation violation/parole – Kristen Marie Hughey, 35, 2167 B Wilkerson Loop, Meridian.

Church burglary

• 2800 block of 11th St. at 6:07 p.m.

Auto burglary

• 2300 block of 32nd St. at 7:10 a.m.

• Meridian Police responded to 1 shots fired call but when officers arrived on scene, there was not any evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Thursday and 8:43 a.m. Friday.

• Driving under the influence/first offense – Johanna E. Brewer, 51, 4901 Otis Shirley Road, Meridian. Brewer is also charged with no driver’s license, no liability insurance.

• Failure to pay – Barbara Edwards, 42, 4711 11th Ave., Meridian.

• Embezzlement – Rhonda King, 52, 5916 Hwy. 145S, Meridian. King is also charged with bad check-felony/two counts, false pretense, forgery.
