Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday:

• Shooting into dwelling – Nike Talley, born in 2000, 1033 MLK Drive, Newton.

• Shooting into dwelling – Jonathan Jones, born in 2000, 404 Smith St., Newton.

• Shooting into dwelling – Jalon Shephard, born in 2001, 408 Heritage St., Newton.

• Shooting into dwelling – Samuel Robinson, born in 1999, 280 LR Decatur Road, Decatur.

• Disorderly conduct – Santarius Stidmon, born in 1994, 32 54th Ave. Stidmon is also charged with no driver’s license, no insurance, noise ordinance.

• Telephone harassment – Beunca McDonald, born in 1990, 1206 27th Ave.

• Simple assault – Deterick Thomas, born in 1980, 1539 50th Lane. Thomas is also charged with simple assault/domestic, suspended driver’s license, no insurance, failure to yield.

• Possession of marijuana – Raheem Rencher, born in 1992, 6281 Chickasaway.

• Shoplifting – Christopher Sullivan, born in 1998, 5340 Vimville Road.

Incident Reports

The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Tuesday to Wednesday:

Commercial burglary

• 500 block of 51st Ave. at 8:27 a.m.

• 2000 block of Hwy. 45 North at 10:11 p.m.

Auto burglary

• 1700 block of 14th St. at 3:07 p.m.

Residential burglary

• 2400 block of 24th St. at 7:31 p.m.

• Meridian Police responded to 9 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was not any evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 8:43 a.m. Wednesday.

• Driving under the influence/first offense – Robert E. Brown Jr., 46, 10972 Wildcat Road, Collinsville. Brown is also charged with careless driving, no license tag.

• Computer fraud – Atricia Edwards, 58, 5211 South Lake Drive, Meridian. Edwards is also charged with fraudulent use of identity/DC/CC/SS#.

• Possession of controlled substance – Larry Charles Gordon II, 28, 1276 Sandflat Loop, Meridian.

• DUI/first offense – April Honycutt Miles, 37, 1921 Russell/Mt. Gilead Road, Meridian.

• DUI/first offense – George Michael Morphis, 59, 1122 Bunkum Road, Ward, Ala.

• Failure to appear – Cierra Mignon Scruggs, 27, 4695 A Valley Road, Meridian.

• Trespassing/willful – Michael Ranford Sims, 29, 2000 Front St. 303.

• Possession of cocaine – Willie Earl Starks, 35, 23 10th Ave., Meridian.

• Enticement of a child to produce a visual depiction of sexual nature – Edward Lee Stevens, 40, Nanih Waiya.

• Failure to appear/two counts – Santerius Markquise Stidmon, 23, 422 45th Ave. Stidmon is also charged with failure to pay/three counts.

• Petit larceny – Dustin Kyle Underwood, 30, 2167 B Wilkerson Loop, Meridian.

• Failure to pay – Otis Keith Williams, 30, 3107 36th Ave. G8.
