Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday:

• Shoplifting – Jason Poe, born in 1992, 7370 Pineridge Drive.

• Possession of paraphernalia – Chancellor Mayfield, born in 1997, 8243 Lizelia Road. Mayfield is also charged with speeding.

• Possession of paraphernalia – Carrie Hancock, born in 1999, 5560 Causeyville Road.

• Disorderly conduct – Kenyatta Walker, born in 1995, 1426 30th Ave. Walker is also charged with disturbance of business.

• False information – Cornelius Mosley, born in 1971, 1915 25th Ave.

• Simple assault/domestic – Ricardo Moton, born in 1977, 3800 12th St.

• Public drunk – Emil Castignanie, born in 1984, 1110 Terry Lane. Castignanie is also charged with profane language.

• Public drunk – Jewell Lindsey, born in 1990, 492 Clover St.

• Possession of paraphernalia – John Kelley, born in 1970, homeless. Kelley is also charged with public drunk.

Auto burglary

• 1200 block of North Frontage Road at 7:09 a.m.

• Meridian Police responded to 3 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was not any evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday.

• Speeding – Billy Lavell Eason, 33, 5962 A York Road, Lauderdale. Eason is also charged with careless driving, no liability insurance.

• Probation violation/parole – James Michael Graham, Jr., 40, 221 Bonita Drive, Meridian.

• Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute – Ashford Ray Jones, 47, 2019 45th Ave., Meridian. Jones is also charged with felon in possession of a firearm.

• Probation violation/parole – Tradonious Leggett, 30, 3505 11th St., Meridian.

• Manufacturing of marijuana – Westley Owen Moore, 36, 6760 Meador, Meridian.

• Probation violation/parole – Steven Lee Stewart, 33, homeless.
