Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday:

• Possession of stolen firearm – Jeremy Brantley, born in 1980, 9891 Grissom Road.

• Shoplifting – Kevin Rashake, born in 1970, homeless. Rashake is also charged with public intoxication.

• Disorderly conduct – Jatasia Triplett, born in 1998, 7100 Old Hwy. 80 W. Triplett is also charged with trespassing.

• Disorderly conduct – Zykeyiah Lemon, born in 1997, 7100 Old Hwy. 80 W. Lemon is also charged with trespassing.

• Disorderly conduct – Myles Bradley, born in 1997, 2300 26th Ave. Bradley is also charged with trespassing.

• Disorderly conduct – Miguel Easley Jr., born in 1997, 2109 30th Ave. Easley is also charged with trespassing.

• Possession of marijuana – Jawann Jones, born in 1995, 6291 Oxford Road. Jones is also charged with no insurance, no driver’s license, no seatbelt.

• Speeding – Heather Marie Viverette, 37, 1123 45th Ave., Meridian.

Incident Reports

The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Tuesday to Wednesday:

Commercial burglary

• 1600 block of Tommy Webb Drive at 10:51 a.m.

Residential burglary

• 2400 block of 36th St. at 12:09 p.m.

• 1800 block of 16th Ave. at 2:16 p.m.

• Meridian Police responded to 3 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was not any evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 8:43 a.m. Wednesday.

• Kidnapping – Reginald James Amerson Sr., 46, 2210 26th Ave., Meridian. Amerson is also charged with felon in possession of a firearm.

• Possession of morphine – Richard Lavoy Breland, 37, 3453 Grandview Ave., Meridian. Breland is also charged with possession of hydrocodone, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a stolen firearm.

• Failure to appear – Jessie J. Brown, 52, 3808 44th Ave., Meridian.

• Felony driving under the influence/fourth count – Lendrey Darvan Brown, 38, 4803 Hooper St., Meridian.

• Burglary/dwelling house – Michael Arnez Coleman, 48, 11671 Old Jackson Road, DeKalb. Coleman is also charged with probation violation/parole.

• Domestic violence/simple assault – Jeffery Mark Davis, 48, 1409 James Parten Road D, Toomsuba.

• Burglary/dwelling house – Johnny Kardell Lucas, 28, 4282 New Hope Road, DeKalb.

• Sale of controlled substance/three counts – Antoinette Martinez, 46, 6580 Brunson Road, Meridian.

• Felony DUI – Tracy Sullivan, Jr., 57, 2098 Old Wire Road C, Meridian.

• Structure fire (false call), W. Crescent Lake Road (Long Creek, Clarkdale, Southeast).

• Emergency medical service, Lake Ross Collins (Collinsville).

The Meridian Fire Departments reported the following calls from Tuesday.

• Dispatched and canceled en route, 5th Street.

• System Malfunction, 5th Street.

• Medical assist, Briarwood Road.
