Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

• Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – Teraze Price Thompson, 25, 2405 Highway 28, Livingston, Ala. Thompson is also charged with seat-belt violation, careless driving, no liability insurance, attempted rape, simple assault on a police officer and being held for outside agency.

• Public drunkenness – Cortez Damon Barfield, 26, 3840 36th St., Meridian. Barfield is also charged with carrying a concealed weapon and giving false ID information.

• Willful trespassing – Dominque (Dominic) Reshaun Davis, 41, 1618 43rd Ave., Meridian.

• DUI, first offense – Lindsay Meshell Hendon, 30, 213 Mulley Road, Decatur. Hendon is also charged with two counts of malicious mischief/vandalism, simple assault, larceny, driving with a suspended license and contempt of court.

• Aggravated assault – Cordarius Stinner.

• Commercial burglary – Kamayi R. Cole, born in 1994, 7100 Highway 80 West, Meridian.

• Possession of firearm by felon – Rodrick Bennoman, born in 1983, 124 Fourth Ave., Meridian.

• Simple assault – Rolando McDonald, born in 1996, 3009 38th St., Meridian.

• DUI – Jamorris Cole, born in 1994, 6454 New Hope Road, Meridian.

• Simple assault – Angela Dean, born in 1975, 1703 36th Ave., Meridian.

• Simple assault – Derrick Evans, born in 1984, 1205 MLK Drive, Meridian.

• Giving false information – Darren L. Houston, born in 1982, 51 School St., Meridian.

Church Burglary

• 1000 block of 38th Avenue, Meridian.

Robbery

• 700 block of 23rd Avenue, Meridian.

Shootings

Meridian Police responded to 7 shots-fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was no evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

• Failure to appear (justice court), seven counts – Jimmy Kay Alexander, 62, 8969 Highway 19 North, Collinsville.

• Burglary of commercial building, cars, etc. – Anthony Tikeon Lopez Evans, 20, 1408 46th Ave., Meridian.

• Probation violation/parole – Orlando Key’un Horne, 23, 107 71st Place, Meridian. Horne is also charged with contempt of court.

• Possession of marijuana, first offfene – Clinton Dewayne Hubbard, 41, 315 42nd Ave., Meridian. Hubbard is also charged with careless driving and violation of child restraint law.

• Motor vehicle theft, felony – Charles James Jackson, 53, 1658 Moore Place Road, Livingston, Ala.

• Probation violation/parole – Jason Lamar Leddon, 32, 6311 Grantham Road, Meridian.

• Sale of cocaine, two counts – Jordeanna Sh’ane Lewis, 30, 11271 Hill Thompson Road, Collinsville. Lewis is also charged with sale of drugs near church or school, domestic violence, probation violation/parole, speeding, driving with a suspended license, no liability insurance, giving false ID information and disregard of traffic device.

• Burglary of dwelling, house – Darrell Tyler Long, 23, 7105 Tenth Court, Meridian.

• Attempt to obtain controlled substance by fraudulent means – Jacob Scott Nause, 20, 2594 Highway 496, Meridian.

• Burglary of dwelling, house – Thomas Peterson, 22, 5306 First St., Meridian. Peterson is also charged with simple assault, possession of stolen firearm, felon in possession of firearm and contempt of court.

• Sale of hydrocodone and acetaminophen – William Marcus Strickland, 59, 1036 Homestead Road, Meridian. Strickland is also charged with seat-belt violation and driving with a suspended license.

• DUI, first offense – Melvin Walk, 49, 1979 Bunk Newell Road, Meridian. Walk is also charged with careless driving.

• Contempt for child support – Miguel Ralpheal Willis, 41, 1301 38th Ave., Meridian.
