ECPDD to hold hearing for programs about aging

A public hearing for programs focusing on aging, conducted by the East Central Planning and Development District/Area Agency on Aging, is slated for 10 a.m. on July 20 in the Board Room of the Development District office building at 280 Commercial Drive in Newton, Mississippi.

The hearing is designed to provide information about programs and services available for persons ages 60 and above in Clarke, Jasper, Kemper, Lauderdale, Leake, Neshoba, Newton, Scott and Smith counties.

The goals and objectives for Fiscal Year Oct.1, 2017 through Sept. 30, 2018, along with an update of current year activities, are scheduled to be presented. Public comments are welcome.
