JuCo golf: MCC’s Jackson named finalist
Meridian Community College’s Isaiah Jackson has been named a finalist for the NJCAA Jack Nicklaus Award.
Jackson, a Golden native, claimed medalist honors four times this season for the Eagles. He was also runner-up twice and only placed outside of the top 10 once in 11 events. He boasts a 71.81 stroke average and is the top-ranked NJCAA Division II golfer in Golfstat.
The winner of the award will be announced May 31, and the award presentation will be at the Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, and will be presented by Nicklaus personally. He helped inspire and create the Jack Nicklaus Award in 1988, and it is presented to the national player of the year in NCAA Divisions I, II and II, as well as NAIA and NJCAA.
