MCC artists showcase their talents at new show

The Casteel Gallery’s next exhibition will focus on the works of Meridian Community College faculty members Daniel Ethridge, Laura Reinstatler and Terrell Taylor.

The show, “Another Bridge,” opens Tuesday, with a reception planned for 4-5:30 p.m. The campus and community are invited to attend.

Ethridge is the instructor and coordinator of the MCC Graphic Design Program, where he guides students to become industry professionals in graphic design. He works in various mediums ranging from ceramics to oils to watercolor and ink. Reinstatler is a theater instructor whose artistic creations are based in designs using fabric. Taylor is an art instructor and curator for the Casteel Gallery. Most of her work is mixed media: montage, collage and assemblage.

“Each artwork is an invitation to delve into the rich tapestry of the talents of these creative individuals,” Taylor said. “These works will undoubtedly leave an impression on the visitor.”

The Homer Casteel Gallery is open Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, visit meridiancc.edu/casteelgallery.
