Remodeled Wendy’s to reopen Feb. 11

One of Meridian’s favorite hamburger destinations is set to reopen its doors.

After being closed for remodeling the past few weeks, the Wendy’s restaurant at 642 22nd Avenue South will reopen on Feb. 11 with a grand reopening celebration. A ribbon cutting is planned for 10 a.m. and prizes will be raffled off as part of the celebration.

The restaurant has been remodeled using innovative interior and exterior design elements to enhance the Wendy’s guest experience, according to a news release.

“This is the second restaurant we have remodeled here in Meridian, and we think the local residents will just love the new design here on 22nd Avenue,” Brian McDaniel, SVP of Carlisle, franchisee of The Wendy’s Company, said in the release. “Our commitment to Meridian has never been stronger, and we plan to continue to invest in and be an integral part of the community for many, many years to come.”

Building new restaurants and remodeling existing restaurants is part of a multi-year strategy Carlisle is using to invigorate the Wendy’s brand experience throughout Mississippi. The projects have created new jobs and economic growth through construction and development throughout the state.

Carlisle is a Memphis-based, family founded and operated specialty-hospitality company owning more than 150 Wendy’s restaurants across the Southeast.
