Marvell Gordon sworn in as 10th Circuit assistant district attorney
Marvell M. Gordon was sworn in on Thursday as the newest assistant district attorney for the 10th Circuit Court District, serving Clarke, Lauderdale, Kemper and Wayne Counties.
Gordon, of Canton, took his oath before Circuit Court Judge Lester Williamson.
Gordon received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Mississippi in 1999, and his law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2003.
He was admitted to the Mississippi Bar in 2003 and has been a practicing attorney in Mississippi for the past 15 years. He previously served as an assistant district Attorney in both the 21st and Seventh Circuit Court Districts of Mississippi. Most recently, Gordon served as a public defender in Lauderdale County. Gordon is married to attorney Ta’Shia Gordon, and they have two children.
