A house on Dock Gator Road near Daleville in Lauderdale County was destroyed by fire Friday afternoon.

Firefighters received the call around 12:30 p.m. and when they arrived, the house was fully involved in fire, Bailey Volunteer Fire Department Chief Stanley Lucky said.

Firefighters from Naval Air Station Meridian and the Sam Dale Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the call. 

No one was home when the fire occurred, and no injuries were reported, Lucky said. Two residents who at first were reported missing were located unharmed, he  said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
