Tuesday, April 17

• 10 a.m. – Baby/Toddler Earth Day at the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library. Chess Club meets at 4:30 p.m.

• 12:30 p.m. – Queen City Duplicate Bridge at the Meridian Activity Center, 3300 32nd Ave.

• 7 p.m. – The DAV (Disabled American Veterans) will meet at the Kendallod Bldg. at Highland Park. There will be a potluck meal at 6:30 with each person bringing something with them for the meal.

Wednesday, April 18

• 4:30 p.m. – Young Adults (7th-12th Grade) STEM (Robotics Part 1) at the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library.

Thursday, April 19

• 1 p.m. – East Central Community College Spring Orientation – On-Campus Housing Orientation in Huff Auditorium. For students who have applied for Fall 2018 and have been accepted or provisionally accepted and have completed an on-campus housing application and paid the deposit. Students attending any of these April Orientation sessions must RSVP in advance using the myEC link at www.eccc.edu.

• 12:30 p.m. – Queen City Duplicate Bridge at the Meridian Activity Center, 3300 32nd Ave.

• 1 p.m. – Bingo at the Meridian Activity Center, 3300 32nd Ave.

• 4:30 p.m. – K-6th Grade Arbor Day Craft at the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library. Genealogy from 2-3 p.m.

Saturday, April 21

• 8 a.m. – There will be a Lauderdale County Guardianship Clinic to assist low-income residents with obtaining legal guardianship over children who are under their care. It will be held at the Mississippi State University Kahlmus Auditorium. This legal clinic is free and open to the public. FMI: contact 601-882-5001 or visit www.mvlp.org.

• 8 a.m.-1 p.m. – The Meridian Daylily Club will hold its annual daylily sale at Al’s Garden & Gift located at 9803 State Blvd Ext. There will be many varieties of Daylilies to choose from starting at $5.

• 10 a.m.-2 p.m. – Meridian-area Walmart stores will host the second Walmart Wellness Day, a free health screening event checking blood pressure, blood glucose, body mass index, low-cost immunizations.

• 11 a.m.-2 p.m. – The Meridian Star presents Military Appreciation Day, honoring those who serve America and allow us to be free. Food, drinks, and family fun. Meridian City Hall Lawn.

Sunday, April 22

• 2 p.m. – Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, in the McCain Theatre at Meridian Community College. FMI: 601-484-8696.

• 3 p.m. – Family and Friends Homecoming Day at the historic First Union Missionary Baptist Church with guest speaker the Rev. Gary Houston of New Hope Blackwater Baptist Church.
