Here is a look at several key area games for local teams:

CHOCTAW CENTRAL AT PHILADELPHIA

Notable: Philadelphia High School (5-4, 1-2) won last year’s matchup 48-7. Choctaw Central High School (4-4, 1-2) is looking to get playoff eligible with one more win.

Warriors head coach Jerod Thompson’s keys to the game:

•Don’t allow Philadelphia to hit big plays

UNION AT NEWTON

Notable: Union High School (6-3, 2-1) has a two-game winning streak against Newton High School (2-6, 1-2) since the Tigers joined Region 5-2A.
