Law enforcement reports: Feb. 11-12

Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday:

• Simple assault – Tony Malone, born in 1960, 4991 Point Wanita Lake Road, Chunky.

• Giving false information – Shuntrell Cole, born in 1982, 427 33rd Ave., Meridian.

• Possession of paraphernalia – Demarcus L. Atterberry, born in 1989, homeless.

• Abusive calls to E-911 – Edward T. Odom, born in 1976, 1421 47th Ave., Meridian. Odom is also charged with resisting arrest.

Incident Reports

The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Monday to Tuesday:

Residential burglary

• 2700 block of Willow Bend Drive at 7:08 p.m.

Shooting

• 1500 block of 13th Ave. at 1:13 p.m.

• Meridian Police responded to 3 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on scene, only 1 showed any evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday.

• Probation violation/parole – Tavia Chantel Armstrong, 27, 2727 43rd Ave., Meridian.

• Felony DUI/fourth offense – Shantrail D. Cole, 36, 200 23rd St. B 133, Meridian.

• Possession of Oxycodone – Clint Sullivan Cooper, 25, 4690 Zero Road, Meridian. Cooper is also charged with possession of Hydrocodone.

• Driving with suspended license – Justin Tyrone Houston, 28, 1698 B Willow Lake Road, Toomsuba. Houston is also charged with improper equipment, no liability insurance.

• Possession of marijuana more than 30 grams – Kenneth W. Rodgers, 49, 7014 Center Hill Road, Collinsville.

• Probation violation/parole – Michael Derrick Smith, 38, 2525 Bogue Chitto Road, Smithdale.

• Failure to appear – Valerie Smith, 30, 4414 21st St., Meridian.

• DUI/first offense – Caleb Ray Tanner, 19, 6955 CR 356, Meridian. Tanner is also charged with disregard of traffic device.

Stop suspicious

• Hwy. 145-22nd Ave. Heights, Meridian.

• 42nd St.-Highland Park Drive, Meridian.

• Interstate 20, Exit 153, Meridian.

Burglary

• Panola Drive, Marion.

The Meridian Fire Departments reported the following calls from Monday through Tuesday:

• Vehicle accident, 10th Ave.

The Lauderdale County Volunteer Fire Departments reported the following calls from Monday through Tuesday:

Metro Ambulance reported 39 emergency runs Tuesday at 2 p.m.
