Pace named ECCC’s director of recruitment

East Central Community College has appointed Ben Pace as the college’s new director of recruitment.

In this key leadership role, Pace will be responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing strategic recruitment plans aimed at attracting both traditional and nontraditional students to ECCC.

Pace, a proud alumnus of ECCC, will oversee recruitment and orientation programs, working closely with high school administrators and counselors in the college’s district to provide essential enrollment services. He will also lead the recruitment team, coordinate high school visits, career fairs, campus tours and communicate with prospective students and their families about admissions requirements and college programs.

In addition to these duties, Pace will supervise the Warrior Corps student organization and collaborate with the college’s External Relations office to support marketing and recruitment efforts. His role is vital in ensuring the success of the college’s strategic enrollment initiatives, as well as supporting student retention and success through effective orientation programs.

“We are thrilled to have Ben Pace leading our recruitment efforts,” said James Miller, vice president of student services and enrollment management. “His experience, leadership and dedication to ECCC will undoubtedly enhance our ability to attract and support students from all backgrounds, ages, and areas of our five-county district and beyond.”

Pace graduated from ECCC in 2016 and earned a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, before furthering his education with a Master of Arts in Teaching from Mississippi State University. He brings extensive experience to his new position, having previously worked as an academic adviser at both Mississippi State University-Meridian and Meridian Community College.
