Peterson, Hammes
St. Joseph Catholic Church in Starkville was the setting for the Saturday, July 8, 2017, wedding of Miss Sarah Grace Hammes and Mr. Luke Andrew Peterson. Deacon John McGinley conducted the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are David and Jill Hammes of Bailey and Maria Tomaso Peterson and the late Harold “Pete” Peterson of Starkville.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Mr. and Mrs. Jerome N. Hammes of Menomonee Falls, Wis. and the late Mr. and Mrs. John P. Ratcliff of Obadiah.
Grandparents of the groom are the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Peterson of Portland, N.D. and Mr. “Bud” Tomaso and the late Mrs. Angela Tomaso of Starkville.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a champagne lace and blush tulle gown by Allure Couture. Hair was styled by Jennifer Ezell of Meridian. Makeup was by Paromita Mitra of Hattiesburg.
Matron of honor was Simone Domingue of Boulder, Colo.
Other attendants were Neely Alberson of Coldwater and Mr. John Carter of Mooreville.
Junior bridesmaid was Aislin Priester of Meridian. Flower girls were Kaleigh and Brynn Thomas of League City, Texas.
Mr. Charles J. Long of Starkville was best man.
Groomsmen were Noal Dendy of Houston, Tim Schulz of Albuquerque, N.M., Jonathan Lalo of Richland, Wash., and Ben Quan of Richland.
Ushers were Joseph Short of Astoria, N.Y., Benjamin Short of Ridgeland, Cody Lauderdale of Hammond, La., and Ethan Lauderdale of Mobile, Ala.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Emily Thomas of Nassau Bay, Texas, harpist, and Brendan Edwards of Starkville, pianist.
Photography was provided by Bridget Sharp Photography of West Point.
A reception was held at The Mill in Starkville following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Jessica Bauer of Columbia, S.C. and Erica Bauer of Atlanta, Ga.
After a honeymoon to Napa Valley, Calif., the couple resides in Starkville.
