Online school offers thriving, safe environment

We enrolled our daughter Makynli in Alabama Virtual Academy (ALVA) two years ago after she had her hair pulled out by fellow students. Makynli’s now flourishing at ALVA with rigorous curriculum, has more one-on-one interaction with teachers, and the flexibility to move at her own pace.

Makynli interacts with her teachers during “live” class sessions with enthusiasm, even laughter! Makynli’s not just an email address; her teachers know her name are committed to Makynli’s academic success.

ALVA even offers opportunities to meet fellow students: last year we participated in CPR certification, meeting other virtual students and teachers. ALVA keeps my daughter challenged, thriving, safe and gets my highest recommendation. I want Alabama to protect our school choice for Makynli.
