Two arrested in drug task force traffic stop

Two Lauderdale County men were arrested and charged with possession of narcotics following a traffic stop by law enforcement officers with the East Mississippi Drug Task Force, the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department announced Friday.
In a news release, the department said the task force members were assisted by Meridian Police Department’s K-9 unit.
“While conducting a traffic stop, the East MS Drug Task Force, with much appreciated assistance from the Meridian Police Department’s Special Ops K-9, two individuals were found to have been in possession of illegal substances and a large amount of cash,” the department said.
James David Brogan was charged with trafficking in ecstasy and possession of oxycodone with intent to distribute. Bond was set at $75,000 for the trafficking charge and $25,000 for the possession charge. Total bond was $100,000.
William Michael Troutman was charged with possession of methamphetamine and given a $10,000 bond.
