Meridian Police Department announced an arrest has been made in connection with a hostage incident that occurred Thursday, March 28, at Landmark Apartments.

In a news release, Police Chief Deborah Naylor-Young, said 41-year-old Guy L. Abrams is charged with two counts of kidnapping with the possibility of additional charges being added later on.

Abrams is being held without bond.

Young said her department wants to thank Meridian Fire Department, Metro Ambulance, Lauderdale County Emergency Management Agency, Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office and all of the other responders who assisted in bringing the hostage incident to a close.
